This is a new flash file that I created in reflect to the bouncing
balls idea that John presented earlier.
I believe it is a good idea that helps kids to realize and understand
the slope. However I agree with Patricia that it will be hard
for them to understand the idea properly using the videos.
I believe the presented visuals have a lot of details that may
distract the kids. In addition, showing the balls movement -according
to the slope direction- is a main thing that we need to emphasize.
Also, I think it will be more valuable if we allow the students
to interact with the presented visual and be able to control the
slope direction and depth –steep or shallow- in order to understand
the idea and be ale to transfer and connect it to the real world
(water movement).
Thus, I created the same idea with flash in order to eliminate
all distraction and simplify the process to the kids. However
I didn’t finish the flash file scripting yet.
Please explore both files. Remember in
both file you can control and change the slope, but until now
you will not be able to see how the ball will follow the slope
( I am still working on this part)
Single Ball File
(Control throwing the ball and changing the slope)
Multiple Balls File
(Control gravity, friction, quantity and slope)
